Audience: User
You edit your own copy of a page, dataset, data source, or similar item. Teammates keep seeing the shared version until you Save. The editor can show who else is working on the same item.
Autosave keeps your work in your copy. Save shares everything you have pending. Discard drops your copy and leaves the shared version as it was.
| Role | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Author | Edit safely without surprising teammates |
| Reviewer | Know when Save shares changes |
| Project lead | Coordinate overlapping edits |
Expected result: After a successful Save, teammates see your updates. Until then, only you do.

Save conflict prompt with Accept Theirs and Accept Yours choices
Caption:
When both of you changed the same part, Save asks which side to keep.
An assistant run is also a private copy only you can see. Apply merges it into your working copy (next to your hand edits); Discard throws it away. You still Save when you want teammates to see the result. Details: Review, apply, discard.
| Problem | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Teammates do not see my edits | Not Saved yet | Click Save |
| Save asks Theirs / Yours | Same part changed by someone else | Pick a side per conflict, then continue |
| Save stops with an error | Change would break the page | Fix the named problem, then Save again |
| Lost my edits | Discarded the copy | Redo, or restore from History if it was published earlier |
