Audience: User
A record is one entry in a dataset — a product, event, person, FAQ item, and so on. Authors maintain records; pages display them through bindings.
When you edit Records, you work in your own copy until Save — see Working together. History and change views show who changed an entry and whether it came by hand or from a run.

Published app forms may also insert or update records depending on how the page was built. Client app identities (for example Fashion Store customers) are ordinary dataset records when Password Auth is configured against that dataset — use this Records UI to review or edit them.

Variant matrix is a commerce tool for Fashion Store (and similar) products / skus datasets. It helps operators review sellable option combinations, stock, dependencies, and dimensions — not a general-purpose records editor.

If the skus dataset is missing, the UI warns skus dataset not found in this project. Opening the matrix on a non-skus route warns Variant matrix is only available on the skus dataset.

Toolbar Generate (N) creates missing combinations when N (missing count) is greater than zero.
Expected result: Sellables and stock for the selected product stay aligned with option bindings without inventing columns outside this UI.
