Audience: User
For project pages (and global pages), LokAkrt separates work in progress from what the live Ionic app serves:
| Concept | Where in the builder | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Autosave | Silent (debounced) | Writes into your working copy; keeps WIP; does not create History rows |
| Save | Toolbar Save or Page → Versions | Shares your working copy (the whole pending set) with teammates. Does not put your private named drafts on anyone else’s Versions list. Conflicts: Working together |
| Versions | Page → Versions | Your named drafts (private until you publish) plus shared published snapshots. Pin, preview, publish, or discard your drafts. Teammates do not see your unpublished named drafts |
| Preview | Toolbar Preview or Versions → Preview | Opens draft preview (label: “Draft preview” / unpublished content) |
| Publish | Toolbar Publish or Versions | Makes your current work the live tip clients receive and freezes that published point; creates a History entry |
| History | Page → History | Published revisions only (not autosaves, not private named drafts); preview and restore. Each entry shows who changed it and whether it came by hand or from a run |
Important
Templates and blocks save directly in the builder. They do not use this draft / publish workflow. Template version browsing uses View version history on the template (separate screen).
| Role | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Author | Save and preview safely |
| Reviewer | Approve before publish |
| Admin | Restore history if needed |

Expected result: Teammates see your shared working copy; live app users do not change until you publish. Your named drafts remain private.
Tip: Pin important drafts you may need after a publish cycle.
Expected result: You validate unpublished content. The live app still serves the last published revision until you publish.

Expected result: The live tip updates for clients, and a new published revision is recorded under History.
Common mistakes: Publishing without mobile preview; publishing experimental AI changes without review.
Warning
Publish can immediately affect production app users. Coordinate releases for high-traffic screens.
Expected result: Clutter is reduced; published baseline remains available.
Expected result: Prior published content becomes the basis for the page again (then save/publish as the UI requires).

| Action | Typical User | Admin |
|---|---|---|
| Save draft | Yes | Yes |
| Preview | Yes | Yes |
| Publish | Yes | Yes |
| Restore history | Yes | Yes |
| Edit global pages | — | Yes |
| Problem | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| App unchanged after edit | Not published | Publish after preview |
| Teammates do not see edits | Saved only via Autosave | Click Save to share pending changes |
| No Versions / History tabs | Editing a template or block | Those targets save directly; use template version history for templates |
| Lost work | Discarded / never saved | Restore History if published earlier; otherwise redo |
| Preview looks themed oddly | Page theme overrides | Check Page → Properties theme settings |
| Too many drafts | Unpinned clutter | Pin keepers; discard obsolete drafts |
Does save publish?
No. Save shares your working copy with teammates. Publish updates the live tip clients receive. Named drafts under Versions stay private until you publish.
Can I unpublish?
Restore an earlier revision from History, or publish a corrected revision.
